About the Nigerian Dairy Centre of Excellence

The Nigerian Dairy Centre of Excellence is Arla Foods Nigeria’s knowledge sharing hub dedicated to strengthening dairy nutrition in Nigeria. By sharing research, best practices and practical insights across the dairy value chain, the platform highlights the role of quality milk and dairy in supporting balanced diets for families and children, while building local capacity for a more nutritious, sustainable dairy future.

Beyond knowledge sharing, the Centre serves as a training ground for farmers, students, and industry stakeholders, opening up its farm and facilities for hands‑on learning and collaboration. Through structured training programmes, on‑site demonstrations, and practical exposure, it fosters interest in dairy farming, particularly among young people, while showcasing modern, sustainable farming practices. By providing real-world experience and promoting knowledge exchange, the Centre helps empower the next generation of dairy farmers to produce high-quality milk in a way that supports both people and the planet.

Arla-Dano Farm Knowledge Sharing Day

On 25th June 2025, the Arla-Dano Farm opened its gates for our very first Knowledge Sharing Day - a vibrant event dedicated to exchanging ideas and best practices in sustainable dairy farming. Guests, including local farmers, students, and partners, experienced hands-on demonstrations of innovative farming techniques, responsible animal care, and environmental stewardship.

Nourishing Nigeria through Better Dairy Nutrition

Nutrition is at the heart of the Nigerian Dairy Centre of Excellence (NDCE), connecting dairy to real health outcomes by ensuring milk delivers essential nutrients - high‑quality protein, calcium, vitamin D, and B‑vitamins, for growth, strong bones, immunity, and energy.

As a training and knowledge‑sharing hub for farmers, students, and processors, the NDCE translates best practices into better nutrition. Through hands‑on modules in animal health, balanced feeding, hygiene, and milk quality, it helps preserve nutrients from farm to table, ensuring dairy is safe and nourishing.

By building skills across the dairy value chain, the NDCE supports high-quality local milk production and strengthens nutrition and food security in Nigeria. This underpins the trusted quality of the Dano products, making everyday nutrition accessible for families and children.
